National Rural conducts two-part offering of collateral trust bonds

Knoxville, Tenn., April 18 – National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corp. intends to offer collateral trust bonds in two tranches, according to a 424B5 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The bonds have a make-whole call, followed by a par call.

J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, KeyBanc Capital Markets Inc., Mizuho Securities USA Inc., SunTrust Robinson Humphrey Inc. and PNC Capital Markets LLC are the bookrunners.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, including short-term debt repayment, primarily consisting of commercial paper.

The market lender for electric cooperatives is based in Herndon, Va.
