Morgan Stanley plans buffered PLUS due 2022 linked to S&P 500

Los Angeles, July 17 – Morgan Stanley Finance LLC plans to price 0% buffered Performance Leveraged Upside Securities due Feb. 3, 2022 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes are guaranteed by Morgan Stanley.
If the index finishes above its initial level, the payout at maturity will be par of $10 plus 200% of the gain, capped at $11.825 per PLUS.
If the index falls by up to 10%, the payout will be par.
Otherwise, investors will lose 1% for every 1% index decline beyond the 10% buffer.
Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC is the agent.
The notes will price July 31.
The Cusip number is 61769Q337.
