Morgan Stanley plans 4.25% fixed-income buffered notes on S&P 500

Olympia, Wash., Oct. 22 – Morgan Stanley Finance LLC plans to sell 4.25% fixed-income buffered securities due Oct. 31, 2022 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The coupon will be paid quarterly.

At maturity, the payout will be par unless the index declines by more than 15%, in which case investors will be exposed to losses beyond the 15% buffer.

The notes will be guaranteed by Morgan Stanley.

Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC is the agent.

The notes will price on Oct. 26 and settle on Oct. 31.

The Cusip is 61768DJL0.
