Morgan Stanley to price capped buffer gears due 2020 tied to EM fund

Olympia, Wash., Aug. 6 – Morgan Stanley Finance LLC plans to price 0% capped buffer gears due Aug. 31, 2020 linked to the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF, according to an FWP filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus double any fund gain, up to a maximum return of 22% to 24.2%.

Investors will receive par if the fund falls by up to 10% and will be exposed to any losses beyond 10%.

The notes are guaranteed by Morgan Stanley.

UBS Financial Services Inc. and Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC are the agents.

The notes will price on Aug. 28 and settle on Aug. 31.

The Cusip is 61768R526.
