MSRB promotes Sandor to deputy general counsel, regulatory support

Minneapolis, May 24 - The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board promoted Lawrence Sandor to deputy general counsel, regulatory support, according to a press release.

Sandor, who previously was MSRB's senior associate general counsel, focuses on the MSRB's examination and enforcement support for other regulatory authorities and on rulemaking and policy development with respect to 529 college savings plans and on various other MSRB regulatory matters.

Prior to joining the MSRB in 2008, Sandor was chief compliance officer of Wachovia Securities LLC in Richmond, Va. Earlier, he held various compliance-related roles at Wachovia and has also worked in private practice advising financial services firms on securities regulation.

Sandor received his law degree from Emory University.
