Testing now available on MSRB's Short System Web User Interface for ARS, VRDO transparency

By Sheri Kasprzak

New York, Jan. 5 - The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board said Monday that testing is now available on its planned Short-term Obligation Rate Transparency System Web User Interface.

The Short System is designed to improve transparency for auction-rate securities and variable-rate demand obligations.

"Beginning today, once a submitter has completed MSRB Gateway registration requirements to use the Short System, the submitter can access the Short System Web User Interface through MSRB Gateway by selecting the appropriate option under the 'Market Information Systems' heading of the MSRB Gateway main menu," said a statement released Monday from the MSRB.

"The Short System Web User Interface can be used for manual input of data to the Short System and for reviewing submitted information, including information submitted to the Short System using a computer-to-computer connection."
