Moody’s assigns Microsoft notes Aaa

Moody’s Investors Service said it assigned an Aaa rating to Microsoft Corp.’s new senior unsecured notes in 31- and 41-year tranches.

Microsoft will not get any cash proceeds from the notes in the exchange offers whereby notes surrendered in exchange for the new notes will be retired and canceled and cannot be reissued, the agency said.

The outlook remains stable.
