Fitch gives A to Metropolitan Transportation Authority, N.Y., bonds

Fitch Ratings said it assigned an A rating to Metropolitan Transportation Authority, N.Y.'s $750 million of transportation revenue bonds, series 2008A.

Sale of the bonds is expected the week of Feb. 11.

Fitch also said it affirmed the A rating on the authority's $11.2 billion of outstanding transportation revenue bonds.

The outlook is stable.
