Moody's lifts Alcatel-Lucent view to stable

Moody's Investors Service said it revised Alcatel-Lucent's outlook to stable from negative.

The agency also said it affirmed its B1 corporate family and probability of default ratings, along with the B1 ratings for its senior securities and B3 ratings for the trust-preferred securities issued by Lucent Technologies Capital Trust.

The ratings are based on the company's return to revenue growth across its broad-based business portfolio and an expectation that the company will achieve continued significant revenue growth year-on-year, Moody's said.

Despite the change in outlook, Alcatel-Lucent's B1 corporate family rating is currently weakly positioned in the rating category, given that the company's profitability is still well below that of the industry leaders of comparable scale, the agency said.
