Fitch rates Lebanon notes B-

Fitch Ratings said it assigned B- ratings to the new notes issued by Lebanon under its global medium-term note program that was launched in 1999 and updated in 2010.

The notes issued include $1.25 billion 6.85% notes due March 23, 2027, $1 billion 7% notes due March 23, 2032 and $750 million 7¼% notes due March 23, 2037.

The ratings are in line with Lebanon's long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating of B-. The ratings also are sensitive to any changes in Lebanon's long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating.
