JPMorgan plans to price lesser index return enhanced notes linked to Topix, Nikkei

Philadelphia, Aug. 6 ? JPMorgan Chase & Co. plans to price an issue of 0% lesser index return enhanced notes due Sept. 30, 2008 linked to the Topix and Nikkei 225 indexes, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus triple any positive return on the lesser-performing index, subject to a maximum total return of 38%. Investors will be fully exposed to any decline in the lesser-performing index.

The notes are expected to price Aug. 28 and settle Aug. 31.
