JPMorgan to sell 0% buffered notes linked to S&P 500

Philadelphia, Jan. 18 - JPMorgan Chase & Co. plans to price an issue of 0% buffered equity notes due July 30, 2010 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will not include an upside leverage factor.

If the ending index level declines by 15% or less, the payout will be par. Holders will lose 1% for each 1% decline beyond 15%.

The notes are expected to price Jan. 26 and settle Jan. 31.
