J.B. Poindexter $125 million 10-year notes price talk 8¾%-9%, to price Thursday

By Paul A. Harris

St. Louis, March 3 - Price talk is 8¾% to 9% on J.B. Poindexter & Co.'s proposed $125 million offering of 10-year senior notes (B1/B-), a market source said.

The deal is expected to price on Thursday.

JP Morgan is the bookrunner on the Rule 144A offering.

The notes come with five years of call protection.

Proceeds will be used to redeem the company's 12½% senior secured notes due 2007, to repay other debt and for general corporate purposes.

The company is a Houston-based manufacturer of truck bodies and other truck-related products.
