Fitch rates International Lease notes BB

Fitch Ratings said it expects to rate International Lease Finance Corp.'s planned issuance of $500 million of unsecured senior notes BB.

The debt will be placed on rating watch negative when issued to align its watch status with that of the issuer, the agency said.

All ratings remain on rating watch negative.

On Feb. 18, Fitch said it downgraded International Lease's issuer default rating and senior unsecured debt to BB from BBB. Both the issuer default rating and debt ratings remained on rating watch negative at that time.

Fitch noted that the proposed $500 million issuance and the company's recent issuance of $1.3 billion of secured debt and $2 billion of unsecured debt are consistent with their overall financing plans to generate liquidity to repay near-term maturing debt obligations.
