Olympia, Wash., Aug. 17 – Interconexion Electrica (ISA) issued COP 300 billion of green bonds in two parts, according to a press release.
ISA issued COP 160 billion of 6.33% nine-year bonds and COP 140 billion of 3.67% 20-year bonds.
The offering generated an excess demand of 2.54 times the amount offered, the release said.
The resources will be directed to finance two projects on the north coast of Colombia that will allow the connection of renewable energies not conventional – wind and solar – to the national interconnected system. The projects are the 500 kV Caribbean Coast Interconnection and Interconnection Cuestecitas-Copey-Fundacion Copey-Fundacion 220 kV.
The placement agents were BTG Pactual SA, Credicorp Capital Colombia SA and Valores Bancolombia SA.
Interconexion Electrica transmits high voltage electricity within the national network in Colombia.
