By Paul A. Harris

Portland, Ore., Jan. 21 - Icahn Enterprises LP and Icahn Enterprises Finance Corp. plan to price a $1 billion offering of eight-year senior notes (expected ratings Ba3/BBB-) on Wednesday, according to an informed source.

A conference call with investors was scheduled to take place on Tuesday.

Jefferies LLC has the books for the Rule 144A and Regulation S with registration rights offering.

The notes come with 3.5 years of call protection, at which time they become callable for six months at par plus 75% of the coupon.

The New York-based diversified holding company plans to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes.
