City of Hillview, Ky., asks court to dismiss Chapter 9 bankruptcy case

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, April 21 – The City of Hillview, Ky., asked the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Kentucky to dismiss its Chapter 9 bankruptcy case, according to a motion filed April 21.

Hillview said an agreed order resolving Truck America Training, LLC’s motion for immediate issuance of a writ of mandamus has been entered into the Bullitt Circuit Court.

The city said the resolution with Truck America requires a dismissal of the Chapter 9 proceeding.

In addition, the agreement provides a mechanism for the consensual resolution of outstanding issues with major creditor Truck America and a payment plan on its claim.

Hillview filed bankruptcy on Aug. 20, 2015 under Chapter 9 case number 15-32679.
