Fitch rates Health Care REIT notes BBB

Fitch Ratings said it assigned a BBB rating to the newly issued $450 million 4.75% senior notes due Sept. 15, 2017 offered by Health Care REIT, Inc.

The outlook is stable.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, including investing in health care and senior housing properties and repaying borrowings under its unsecured line of credit and other outstanding indebtedness.
