GenCanna Global USA official committee of unsecured creditors named

Pittsburgh, Feb. 19 – GenCanna Global USA, Inc.’s official committee of unsecured creditors was appointed Tuesday by acting U.S. Trustee Paul A. Randolph, according to a notice filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky.

The committee members are interim chairman Dennis W. Smith of Pinnacle, Inc. of Benton, Ky.; George Christian Petty of Paducah, Ky.; Timothy “Hobie” Thompson of Thompson Construction of Morehead, Ky.; Dennis Bragg of Bragg Farming Co. of Toney, Ala.; Kendall Henson of Furnwood Farms, LLC of Cynthiana, Ky.; Justin D. Clark of Paducah, Ky.; and Elizabeth Z. Woodward and Dean Dorton of Dean Dorton of Lexington, Ky.

Winchester, Ky.-based GenCanna is a vertically integrated agriculture-technology company specializing in the production of hemp rich in CBD. The company filed bankruptcy on Feb. 6 under Chapter 11 case number 20-50133.
