New Issue: Goldman sells $1.54 million five-year trigger notes on MSCI EAFE fund

Chicago, Oct. 19 – GS Finance Corp. priced $1.54 million of 0% notes due Oct. 6, 2023 tied to the iShares MSCI EAFE ETF, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the underlying fund finishes above its initial, the payout at maturity will be par the greater of the gain and the threshold settlement amount of $1,540 for each $1,000 principal amount.

If the asset falls by up to 30%, the payout will be par.

Otherwise, investors will lose 1% for each 1% decline.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.
