Goldman calls $5.53 million autocallables due 2011 tied to S&P 500

Madison, Wis., Dec. 29 - Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. said that it will redeem all $5,525,000 of its outstanding 0% autocallable index-linked notes due July 1, 2011 tied to the S&P 500 index.

The notes (Cusip: 38145W220), which were issued on June 24, 2010, will be redeemed on Jan. 3 at 104.1.

The notes have an automatic call if the index closes at or above the initial index level - 1,114.44 - on Dec. 27 or March 24.

The Bank of New York Mellon is the trustee.
