Global Home Products looks to terminate benefits for Anchor Hocking, Burnes salaried retirees

Pittsburgh, June 25 - Global Home Products, LLC is looking to terminate retiree benefits for some former salaried employees of its Anchor Hocking CG Operating Co. LLC, Anchor Hocking Operating Co. LLC and the Burnes of Boston division, according to a Friday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Specifically, retiree benefits for the non-union salaried retirees would be terminated, effective June 30.

The former employees' ongoing health care benefits would also be terminated effective July 1, and requests for payment or reimbursement of health care expenses incurred before July 1 would be due Dec. 31.

A hearing is scheduled for July 2.

Global Home Products is a Westerville, Ohio-based designer, marketer and manufacturer of branded consumer and specialty products to retail and hospitality customers and original equipment manufacturers. The company filed for bankruptcy on April 10, 2006. Its Chapter 11 case number is 06-10430.
