New Issue: Global Alumina prices $30 million private placement of stock

Atlanta, Dec. 17 - Global Alumina Products Corp. said Friday it has priced a previously announced $30 million private placement.

The company sold 15.385 million shares at about $1.95 per share.

The offering, which was originally announced Nov. 11, is expected to close by the end of the year.

Based in Toronto, Global Alumina is a company that plans to use Guinean bauxite for aluminum sales. The company plans to use the proceeds from the deal to develop the next stage of its aluminum refinery in Guinea.
