By Devika Patel

Knoxville, Tenn., April 22 - Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. said it has hired Ian Jaffe in its debt capital markets as a senior investment grade credit analyst.

Jaffe will be responsible for credit analysis of investment grade banks, finance and insurance companies. He will report to head of investment grade credit Carmine Urciuoli. Jaffe is an Institutional Investor-ranked analyst.

Jaffe previously was the senior bank and finance analyst at JP Morgan Chase's high-grade research group. Prior to that, he worked at Bear Stearns, where he held the same position before the merger. Prior to Bear Stearns, Jaffe was a senior U.S. bank analyst at Fitch, Inc.

He holds a master's in business administration from Fordham University and a bachelor's from Franklin & Marschall College.

"Ian's institutional investor recognition and years of experience in credit research underscore Cantor Fitzgerald's commitment to its clients and continued development of our business platform," Urciuoli said in a press release.

Cantor is a New York global financial services firm.
