Markit makes changes to Markit CDX North America Investment Grade index

Tacoma, Wash., March 10 - Markit Group Ltd. said it removed nine companies from the Markit CDX North America Investment Grade index and added an equal number of companies.

The companies added are Avnet, Inc., Boston Properties LP, Canadian Natural Resources Ltd., Cisco Systems, Inc., Dell Inc., Lowe's Cos., Inc., Pfizer Inc., TJX Cos., Inc. and Vornado Realty LP.

The companies removed are Embarq Corp., Gannett Co., Inc., iStar Financial Inc., Limited Brands, Inc., New York Times Co., MBIA Insurance Corp., Mohawk Industries, Inc., Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. and Wyeth.

The changes will be effective as of March 20, the next roll date.

Markit provides independent data, portfolio valuations and over-the-counter derivatives trade processing to the financial markets.
