Greg Chow joins RBC Capital Markets' private placement desk

By Sheri Kasprzak

New York, April 19 - RBC Capital Markets said Wednesday it has hired Greg Chow as a vice president in the firm's private placement group in San Francisco.

Chow, who comes to RBC from Wells Fargo Securities, will focus on PIPEs and private placements of mainly equity-linked securities, according to Kevin Foster, a spokesman for RBC.

The majority of offerings Chow will be responsible for are stock-for-cash offerings, convertible placements and the like.

Chow may also do some mezzanine financings, but those will not be his main focus, Foster said.

At Wells Fargo, Chow led the private capital group, where he was also centered on private placements.
