Moody's changes EDF view to stable

Moody's Investors Service said it changed Electricite de France’s outlook to stable from negative. The agency also affirmed the long-term A3 issuer and senior unsecured ratings, the Baa3 perpetual junior subordinated debt ratings.

Concurrently Moody's changed the outlook to stable from negative for EDF Trading Ltd., Edison SpA and EDF Energy Holdings Ltd. The agency also affirmed the Baa2 long-term issuer ratings for EDF Trading, Edison and EDF Energy.

The stable outlook reflects the expectation that EDF will comfortably maintain credit metrics commensurate with the baa2 baseline credit assessment, its stand-alone credit quality before considering potential government support, with funds from operations (FFO)/net debt at least in the mid-to-high teens in percentage terms, Moody’s said.
