New Issue: Goldman prices $2.85 million enhanced participation notes tied to S&P 500 for Eksportfinans

Tacoma, Wash., Oct. 6 - Eksportfinans ASA priced $2.85 million of 0% enhanced participation notes due Oct. 18, 2010 linked to the S&P 500 index via underwriter Goldman, Sachs & Co., according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus double any index gain, subject to a maximum payout equal to 128.6% of par. Investors will receive par if the index declines by 15% or less and will lose 1.1765% for every 1% that the index declines beyond 15%.
