S&P lifts, withdraws EarthLink

S&P said it raised the corporate credit rating on EarthLink Holdings Corp. to B+ from B and removed it from CreditWatch, where it was placed with positive implications on Nov. 7, 2016.

The outlook is stable.

"The upgrade follows the successful completion of Windstream's acquisition of EarthLink and redemption of EarthLink's debt," S&P credit analyst Ryan Gilmore said in a news release.

The agency subsequently withdrew all ratings on EarthLink, including the B+ corporate credit rating.
