Diocese of Buffalo reports $1.06 million net loss for December

Olympia, Wash., March 6 – The Diocese of Buffalo reported $1.06 million net loss for December on $322,296 gross income, according to its monthly operating report filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of New York.
In comparison, the diocese reported an $840,540 net profit on $2.02 million gross income for November.
The diocese posted an $8.87 million cash balance at the end of December, down from $10.1 million at the end of November.
The diocese filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Feb. 28, 2020 under case number 20-10322.
