S&P rates DowDuPont A-

S&P said it assigned its A- issuer credit rating to DowDuPont Inc.

The outlook is stable.

DowDuPont is expected to become DuPont Inc. after the spin-offs of both Corteva and New Dow occur in the first half of 2019.

The agency said the stable outlook reflects an expectation that operating performance will gradually increase in 2019 and 2020, supported by general positive economic growth in North America, EMEA and Asia Pacific.

“We expect single-digit revenue growth in each of the company's four operating segments driven by trends such as growing demand for healthy living and sustainably sourced foods, light weighting in vehicles and the use of electronics integrated into automotive, textiles and appliances,” S&P said in a news release.

“We believe these conditions will translate into year-over-year moderate improvement in operating performance in 2019 and 2020.”
