Dominion Energy extends $2.5 billion 364-day term loan to July 12

By Wendy Van Sickle

Columbus, Ohio, Jan. 12 – Dominion Energy, Inc. extended its $2.5 billion 364-day term loan facility that was entered on Jan. 13, 2023 to July 12, 2024, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In connection with the strategic business review announced in November 2022, the company entered into agreements in September 2023 to sell all of its regulated gas distribution operations, except for the regulated gas distribution operations in South Carolina, to wholly owned subsidiaries of Enbridge Inc. The company expects to use all after-tax proceeds from these sales to repay debt, including the facility.

Dominion Energy is a Richmond, Va.-based electric and natural gas energy company.
