DavidsTea to use extension in connection with quarterly report filing

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, July 20 – DavidsTea Inc. said Monday that it is availing itself of a 45-day blanket extension granted by the Canadian securities regulatory authorities for the filing of financial statements and management’s discussion and analysis for its first quarter ended May 2.

According to a company news release, DavidsTea said previously that it intends to file the first-quarter financial statements and related documents no later than July 31.

The company said the Quebec Superior Court issued an order last week that extends its initial Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act order through Sept. 17.

DavidsTea is a tea company based in Montreal. The company filed bankruptcy on July 8 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware under Chapter 15 case number 20-11802.
