Dura operating loss slides to $4.33 million in month ended May 25

Pittsburgh, June 25 - Dura Automotive Systems, Inc. reported a $4.33 million operating loss for the four weeks ended May 25 on total sales of $46.8 million, according to its monthly operating report filed Wednesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The results showed a widening from a $2.34 million operating loss reported for the four weeks ended April 27 on $52.69 million of total sales.
The May net loss was $14.35 million, widening from an $11.2 million April net loss.
The company had $4.36 million in cash and cash equivalents at May 25, compared with $5.22 million at April 27.
Dura, a Rochester Hills, Mich.-based automotive parts maker, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 30, 2006 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. Its Chapter 11 case number is 06-11202.
