Dura completes $160.2 million sale of Atwood Mobile Products division

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Aug. 30 - Dura Automotive Systems, Inc. has completed the $160.2 million sale of substantially all of the mobile products division assets of its wholly owned subsidiary, Atwood Mobile Products, Inc., to Atwood Acquisitions Co., LLC, according to an 8-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The sale was approved by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware on Aug. 15.

Dura said it used a substantial portion of the sale proceeds to pay down outstanding debtor-in-possession facility debt.

Dura, a Rochester Hills, Mich.-based automotive parts maker, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 30, 2006. Its Chapter 11 case number is 06-11202.
