Dura reports $3.64 million operating loss for June period

Portland, Ore., July 27 - Dura Automotive Systems, Inc. reported a $3.64 million operating loss for the five weeks ended July 1 on $98.08 million in total sales, according to its monthly operating report filed Friday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The figures compare to a $5.69 million operating loss for the four weeks ended May 27 on $83.15 million in total sales.

The net loss for the June period was $12.69 million, compared with a net loss of $13.74 million in the May period.

Cash and cash equivalents on July 1 were $4.79 million, compared with $4.38 million on May 27.

Dura, a Rochester Hills, Mich.-based automotive parts maker, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 30, 2006 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. Its Chapter 11 case number is 06-11202.
