Duke Energy files stock, debt securities automatic shelf registration

Knoxville, Tenn., Oct. 3 - Duke Energy Corp. filed a common stock and debt securities automatic shelf registration in an S-3-ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Proceeds from the securities, which may be convertible, will be used for general corporate purposes.

Duke Energy is a diversified energy company based in Charlotte, N.C., with a portfolio of natural gas and electric businesses and an affiliated real estate company.
