Jeffrey Burger joins Dreyfus Municipal Bond Opportunity Fund

By Toni Weeks

San Luis Obispo, Calif., May 6 - Dreyfus Municipal Bond Opportunity Fund added Jeffrey Burger to its portfolio management team, according to a 497 file with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Effective this month, Burger joins existing portfolio manager Daniel Rabasco in managing the fund.

The fund seeks to maximize current income exempt from federal income tax to the extent consistent with the preservation of capital. It normally invests substantially all of its assets in municipal bonds that provide income exempt from federal income tax, with 70% of investments made in investment-grade municipal bonds.

New York-based Dreyfus is the investment adviser to the fund.
