Moody's may up DPL, Dayton Power

Moody's Investors Service said it placed DPL Inc.'s Baa3 senior unsecured debt rating and Dayton Power and Light Co.'s A3 senior secured debt and Baa1 issuer rating on review for upgrade.

The review is prompted by the company's strong financial performance, continued de-leveraging of the parent company following the redemption of senior notes this year and reduced business risk resulting from the sale of two generating units, according to Moody's.

The companies also benefit from the expected completion of the bulk of its environmental capital expenditure program this year and the settlement of litigation with the company's former managers, the agency said.
