Douglas Emmett files shelf registration covering preferreds and stock

Knoxville, Tenn., June 10 - Douglas Emmett, Inc. filed a shelf registration for an unspecified amount in an S-3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The registration covers common stock, preferred stock, depositary shares, warrants or other rights, stock purchase contracts and units.

The securities may be structured as convertibles.

The real estate investment trust is based in Santa Monica, Calif.
