Dorchester County, S.C., set to sell $57 million G.O. bonds Tuesday

New York, Aug. 24 - Dorchester County in South Carolina plans to price $57 million in series 2009 general obligation bonds on Tuesday, according to a preliminary official statement.

The bonds (A1/AA-/) will be sold either as traditional tax-exempt G.O.s or as Build America Bonds, and are due 2010 to 2029.

The bonds will be issued on a competitive basis with Wells Fargo Securities Inc. as the financial adviser.

Proceeds will be used to defray the costs of transportation-related projects.

The county seat of Dorchester County is St. George, S.C.
