Prospect News reports two new defaults for week of March 5 to March 11

Pittsburgh, March 13 – Prospect News reported two new defaults for the period of March 5 through March 11.

Specifically, Prospect News reported Chapter 11 bankruptcy filings made by Doral Financial Corp. and Allied Nevada Gold Corp.

In addition, Prospect News reported Chapter 11 bankruptcy filings made by BPZ Resources, Inc. and Dune Energy, Inc. However, BPZ previously defaulted in connection with a March 1 missed interest and principal payment, and Dune previously defaulted in connection with a Dec. 22, 2011 distressed exchange and a Dec. 1, 2009 missed interest payment.

Prospect News has reported 34 defaults so far in 2015, including 16 Chapter 11 bankruptcy filings, seven missed interest payments, five Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act filings, two distressed exchanges and one each of missed principal and interest payments, bankruptcy filings, Chapter 15 bankruptcy filings and missed principal payments.
