Moody's rates Dominion notes Baa3

Moody's Investors Service said it has assigned a rating of Baa3 to the $300 million 2006 series A enhanced junior subordinated notes due 2066 issued by Dominion Resources, Inc.

Proceeds are expected to be used for general corporate purposes, including the repayment of short-term debt.

Moody's said the rating is consistent with the Baa3 rating on Dominion's existing subordinated debt.

The outlook continues to be stable.
