S&P affirms Dnipropetrovsk

Standard & Poor's said it affirmed its B+ long-term issuer credit rating and its uaA+ Ukraine national scale ratings on the Ukrainian City of Dnipropetrovsk due to the city's continued economic growth.

The outlook is stable.

The ratings reflect the city's low financial flexibility, contingent liabilities related to municipal utilities and high infrastructure needs, S&P said.

The ratings, the agency said, are supported by Dnipropetrovsk's rapid economic development driven by its position as an important industrial and commercial center and the third-largest city in Ukraine, which is rated foreign-currency BB-/stable/B; local-currency BB/stable/B; Ukraine national scale uaAA.
