S&P rates Dnipropetrovsk

Standard & Poor's said it assigned its B+ long-term foreign currency issuer credit rating to the Ukrainian City of Dnipropetrovsk.

The outlook is stable.

At the same time, an A+(ua) Ukraine national-scale rating was assigned.

S&P said the ratings on the city reflect its low financial flexibility, high infrastructure needs and contingent liabilities related to municipal utilities while the ratings are supported by the city's low debt and its position as the second largest city in Ukraine (foreign currency BB-/stable/B, local currency BB/stable/B, Ukraine national-scale AA(us) and the city's growing economy and strong financial performance.
