DMX Music requests one-month exclusivity extension

Pittsburgh, Aug. 17 - DMX Music, Inc. requested an extension to its exclusive periods to file a plan of reorganization and to solicit votes on the plan, according to a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The company wants to extend its exclusive plan filing period to Sept. 15 from Aug. 15 and solicitation period to Nov. 14 from Oct. 13.

DMX said now that the sale of all its assets is complete, it can concentrate on developing and negotiating a consensual plan.

A hearing on the exclusivity extension is scheduled for Aug. 31.

DMX's case is under parent company Maxide Acquisition, Inc. The Los Angeles provider of music, video and entertainment to businesses, consumers and airlines filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 14. Its Chapter 11 case number is 05-10429.
