District of Columbia plans to sell $700 million G.O. TRANs Tuesday

New York, Oct. 15 - The District of Columbia is expected to bring to market $700 million in series 2011 general obligation tax and revenue anticipation notes on Tuesday, according to a preliminary official statement.

The notes will be sold competitively with Phoenix Capital Partners LLC and Public Resources Advisory Group.

The notes are due Sept. 30, 2011.

Proceeds will be used to finance general governmental expenses ahead of the collection of revenues during fiscal year 2011.
