Moody's rates D.C. bonds Aa2/VMIG1, Aaa/VMIG1, Aa1/VMIG1

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an Aa2/VMIG 1 rating to the $60 million series 2008A bonds, an Aaa/VMIG1 rating to the $125.775 million series 2008B bonds and an Aa1/VMIG1 rating to the $224.3 million series 2008C bonds and $114.205 million series 2008D bonds for the District of Columbia multimodal general obligation bonds series 2008A through D.

The rating is based upon three letters of credit provided by Allied Irish Banks plc (for the series 2008A bonds), Bank of America, NA (for the series 2008B bonds) and Dexia Credit Local (for the series 2008C bonds and series 2008D bonds).
