Fitch downgrades Dish

Fitch Ratings said it downgraded and withdrew the ratings for Dish Network Corp. and its wholly owned subsidiary, Dish DBS Corp., including the long-term issuer default ratings to B+ and senior unsecured ratings to BB.

The outlook is negative.

Fitch said it withdrew the ratings for commercial reasons.

The agency said the downgrade and negative outlook reflect weaker than expected operating fundamentals, particularly a more rapid decline in Dish TV satellite subscribers, as well as a deceleration in the Sling TV subscriber growth.
