Dewey Ranch Hockey, NHL reach agreement on sale of Phoenix Coyotes

New York, Oct. 27 - Dewey Ranch Hockey, LLC and the National Hockey League reached an agreement regarding the sale of the Phoenix Coyotes during a status hearing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona, according to a Tuesday filing.

The document did not specify the terms of the agreement.

As previously reported, the status hearing was requested by Dewey Ranch's committee of unsecured creditors, which had been working with the NHL on a sale offer since Sept. 30, when the league's offer was denied by the court.

Dewey Ranch Hockey, LLC, Arena Management Group, LLC, Coyotes Holdings, LLC and Coyotes Hockey, LLC are the owners of the Phoenix Coyotes NHL team. The owners filed for bankruptcy on May 5 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona. Their Chapter 11 case number is 09-09488.
